CooperVision creates two new European Marketing Head positions to provide increased focus on reusable and daily disposable categories

Southampton, United Kingdom, January 24, 2014 — Global contact lens manufacturer, CooperVision, has appointed two new European Marketing Heads at its United Kingdom based European headquarters to provide optimum product-focused support to practitioners across Europe. Rob Healey, formerly CooperVision’s Marketing Manager for the UK & Ireland, will now be responsible for the reusable segment, whilst Liz Graham will look after the daily disposable category.

Healey, who has held his current position at CooperVision for the past three years, comes equipped with over 15 years of marketing experience and 10 years of managing large teams. Before joining CooperVision, Rob was Marketing Director at luxury homeware manufacturer, Triflow Concepts. He also spent 13 years at Panasonic, during which time he held the title of European Head of Marketing, developing marketing strategies for five different industries across the region.

Rob will now focus his time on supporting the significant growth of CooperVision’s reusable portfolio – in particular the Aquaform®Comfort Science™ franchises of Biofinity® and Avaira®, which bring third-generation silicone hydrogel technology benefits to patients.

Commenting on his appointment, Rob said: “This new role provides a fantastic opportunity for me to really drive growth in the monthly contact lens category. As the CooperVision range of products expands I aim to enhance the partnerships we currently have with our practitioners in order to further exchange information, provide patient insights and deliver impactful marketing and promotional campaigns. I can’t wait to get started!”

New European Marketing Head for the daily disposable category, Liz Graham, brings with her 20 years of sales and marketing experience through working on a number of brands in consumer healthcare powerhouses, including GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Coca Cola and Britvic. In her previous role at GlaxoSmithKline, Liz led a turnaround strategy on Niquitin, which resulted in the roll-out of a new global brand positioning, a refreshed category strategy and implementation of two ground-breaking pieces of innovation. More recently, Liz has spearheaded the geographical expansion overseas of Britvic soft drinks; launching Robinsons squash and Fruitshoot in the US and selected European markets, resulting in strong share gains and revenue growth.

In her new role, Liz will be leading the development and growth of daily disposable lenses across Europe, defining the vision and building a strong communications platform. Most importantly she will concentrate on ensuring practitioners and their patients can enjoy the benefits of CooperVision’s latest product innovation – MyDay®, which is gaining significant momentum and enjoying outstanding reviews from eye care practitioners.

Mark Harty, European President at CooperVision commented: “We created the new roles so we could fully concentrate on the key features and benefits of each of the lenses in our portfolio. Rob and Liz’s combination of industry, marketing and sales knowledge will enable us to focus our efforts on each of CooperVision’s individual brands in order to develop deeper relationships with our customers on a European basis. We are delighted to welcome them both to the team.”
