Myopia in children

Myopia management at CooperVision

The prevalence of myopia is projected to increase from approximately two billion people worldwide in 2010 to almost five billion people in 20501, bringing with it eye health challenges with wide-spanning effects. In fact, the proportion of young people with myopia in the UK has more than doubled over the last 50 years, particularly in those aged between 10–16 years. It’s also been discovered that children are becoming myopic at a younger age2.

Myopia management is more important than ever, so CooperVision launched MiSight® 1 day; an innovative daily contact lens proven to slow down myopia in children. MiSight® 1 day is now available to CooperVision customers across the UK & Ireland who complete a short online education programme.

If you would like to play your part in myopia management, please complete our online registration form. After completing the online education programme, you will be able to order and prescribe MiSight® 1 day contact lenses for children through your practice.
