CooperVision Ready for Today thought-leadership events a resounding success

Events across Europe focus on the benefits of silicone hydrogel daily disposables for the wearer of today.

Southampton, UK, 17th November 2015

Hundreds of eye care practitioners across Europe gathered for a series of thought-leadership events, hosted by global contact lens manufacturer, CooperVision. The events launched the company’s Ready for Today campaign, which focuses on the subject of silicone hydrogel (SiHy) daily disposable contact lenses and how to meet the needs of today’s wearers.

Each of the four European venues; the Leadenhall Building, London; Theater Amsterdam, Amsterdam; MesseTurm, Frankfurt and DR Koncerthuset, Copenhagen, provided a spectacular setting for the events’ esteemed speakers.

World-renowned award-winning researcher and lecturer, Professor Nathan Efron, led the knowledge sharing section of each event with his presentation, Silicone hydrogel daily disposables – the ultimate lens, followed by internationally recognised communication expert, Sarah Morgan, and her presentation, Unlocking the secrets – strategies for keeping wearers for the long term.

Both presentations provided insights and advice destined to equip eye care practitioners with the valuable information they need to communicate the benefits of SiHy daily disposable contact lenses to their patients and encourage long-term wear.

Speaking of his experience at the events, Professor Efron said: “It was a fantastic week and I enjoyed working in partnership with CooperVision to help raise the profile of SiHy daily disposable lenses and the many benefits they can offer to patients with demanding lifestyles.”

Sarah Morgan added: “As people’s lifestyles are becoming more demanding, so consumers demand more from their lenses and more from us as eye care professionals. How we communicate with our patients is therefore a critical factor in securing their loyalty and hopefully these events have helped those who attended to feel confident that they can provide their patients with the information they need.”

Myles Hustler, EU Head of Marketing – Daily Disposable Products at CooperVision said: “We are delighted with the feedback we have received as a result of our recent Ready for Today events and are extremely grateful to our speakers, Nathan Efron and Sarah Morgan for sharing their expertise. We are now looking forward to providing continued support to industry professionals on this subject by delivering an ongoing programme of useful content for both eye care practitioners and retail staff.”
