Birmingham-based event will focus on the clinical considerations for contact lens material selection and myopia management, alongside a CET-accredited discussion workshop.

Southampton, United Kingdom, 28 February 2019 — As part of its 2019 International Seminar Series, global contact lens manufacturer, CooperVision, will be hosting Professor Lyndon Jones in a number of cities across Europe, including Birmingham, Munich, Warsaw, Stockholm, Prague, Budapest and Nice. These valuable events aim to help Eye Care Practitioners (ECPs) focus on the opportunity contact lenses offer in helping improve the lives of their patients.

The UK event, entitled ‘Changing Perspectives, Changing Lives’, will take place on Tuesday 19th March from 5.30pm at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham. ECPs will get the chance to hear from world renowned guest lecturer, Professor Lyndon Jones from the University of Waterloo in Canada. Key presentations will explore recent developments in myopia management and the clinical considerations for using silicone hydrogel material in a daily disposable modality.

The event will feature a Q&A panel and conclude with a discussion workshop worth three CET points on optimising contact lens aftercare.

Director of Marketing and National Accounts at CooperVision, Mark Draper, said: “We’re thrilled to bring our International Seminar Series to Birmingham and give practitioners the opportunity to hear Professor Lyndon Jones’ perspective on reducing hypoxia, myopia management and contact lens patient retention.

“We’re confident that the seminar series will really help highlight the clinical factors in lens recommendation for today’s daily disposable patients and their demands in terms of health, lifestyle and convenience, as well as providing a valuable forum for dialogue with a world leader in contact lens research.”
