CooperVision offsets a portion of its plastic footprint for every box of our plastic neutral contact lenses sold and distributed. The weight of the plastic used in these soft contact lenses is calculated to fund the collection and recycling of an equivalent amount of plastic waste.
Through Plastic Bank, CooperVision offsets a portion of its plastic footprint by funding the collection and recycling of plastic waste gathered within 30 miles of oceans or waterways in countries where Plastic Bank operates, equivalent in weight to plastic used in participating soft contact lens products sold in participating countries. Plastic weight includes the lens, blister, and secondary packaging and excludes manufacturing-process plastic. 4

#UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against transmission of harmful UV radiation to eye but are not substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear, such as UV absorbing goggles or sunglasses, as they do not completely cover the eye or surrounding area.
