The recent changes seek to further strengthen the support available to practitioners in order to help them build their contact lens businesses and enhance patient care.

In the Professional Services team registered optometrist, Neil Retallic, has been appointed Professional Services Manager, covering for Krupa Patel whilst on maternity leave. Neil comes with 15 years’ experience from his time at Vision Express, where he was most recently Professional Learning & Development Manager, alongside 10 years of teaching experience at the University of Manchester.

Neil brings experience from across the optical sector as a BCLA councillor, Chair of BUCCLE, GOC education committee member and a College of Optometrists Examiner/Assessor.

In her new position, Sarah will build upon her European knowledge to help drive growth across the entire CooperVision product portfolio and deliver the best possible experience for both practitioners and patients.

Sarah takes up the role from predecessor, Lara Drury, who has now been appointed Senior Customer Marketing Manager. Lara will be responsible for activities to help grow the contact lens market, such as developing consumer insights to help attract new wearers and reduce drop out from lens wear.

Commenting on the team changes, Head of Marketing & Professional Services, Mark Draper, said: “These new appointments reinforce our commitment to continually investing in our people and growing our team in order to provide practitioners with a trusted and knowledgeable service. All of our recruits bring a wealth of experience to their new roles, gained both internally and externally, and I am delighted to welcome them all to the team.
